 Learning Golf from Other Sports

Learning Golf from Other Sports has a lot of merit.  Okay, we are talking about Golf, but remember playing other sports and participating in other activities is great fun as well as great learning experiences for young and old.

Your Junior Golfer is a child first.  Participating and remembering lessons learned from other activities fosters skill development.  Learning Golf from Other Sports can be a huge bonus to your Junior Golfer’s overall development.

Let your Junior Golfer experience all they can at a young age.  If they excel at golf, fantastic!  Use other lessons and skills that cross over to golf to reinforce good skills in golf, and vice versa.  You cannot lose sight that you are raising a child first and foremost, and not just a Junior Golfer. You and your child will gain much more satisfaction out of people complimenting you as a parent on how well behaved your child is or how polite they are, then how well they putt.  Let your Junior Golfer find themselves; develop talents from sports, music, art and beyond.  And use the lessons and skills they acquire in other arenas to reinforce good skills in golf, and vice versa.

Don’t limit your Child’s activities for the sake of focusing on one activity or the other.  The world’s best business people, athletes, musicians, and entertainers will tell you that they knew when it was time to focus in on what they truly were passionate about. And that the various activities they experienced in their youth were vital parts to their success.  Just like these people learned their crafts through experiences in other arenas, Learning Golf from Other Sports is a vital part of your Junior Golfer’s life experiences.
