Putting Alignment

I see more putts missed because of bad putting alignment, versus a bad stroke. Learning how to properly put yourself into a better putting alignment is the first and most important task of putting.
In the picture notice how I am getting a student to align properly using a stick on the ground. This is how most tour players practice. Why don’t you?
Start with a short putt. Use a stick or one of your clubs as an alignment tool. When the putter is square to the alignment stick, you know that you’re aimed properly. You can also work on your body alignment, ark and length of your stroke with the stick.
Also, notice that I have a small round mirror on the green near the ball. This is used to insure proper head position at address and steadiness during the stroke.
Becoming a good putter is not hard if you practice proper putting alignment.
